Meet Bettina

Bettina loves filling her classes with colorful expressions of yoga styles and knowledge. Her students love the rich class experience her approach creates.

Her engaging style is fluid, creative, meditative and joyful. She brings to her students over 35 years of yoga practice, teaching, studying and researching ancient cultures based on Yoga practice and philosophy.

Bettina's classes are for her a form of art. She blends harmony in the present moment, with a celebration of beauty and balance in a workout flow that leaves you feeling light, better, stronger and more positive about yourself and the world around you.

Her areas of expertise include Hatha Yoga, Lu Jong, Qi Gong, Tibetan Yoga, Kundalini, Bhakti, Raja, Kriya, Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, as well as other techniques of pranayama and meditation.

Itinerary

June 14 - Day 1 – Rome
Benvenuto and welcome to the Eternal City! With a private driver awaiting your arrival at Rome Fiumicino Airport FCO, and a celebratory dinner waiting in the heart of Rome, choose between settling in or exploring about – a Roman Holiday atmosphere will ensure that golden slumbers are enjoyed by all. (D)

June 15 - Day 2 – Rome
Consider pairing a double espresso alongside your first Italian breakfast, as the ensuing tour of Rome’s most prized possessions might just blow you away. You’ve seen the Colosseum, St. Peter's Square, and perhaps even the Pantheon before – but as you’ll find firsthand – not even IMAX 3D can do them justice… and that’s only a taste of the many stops in store. June 16 - Day 3 – Florence
Now with the wind at your back, travel to the rolling hills of Tuscany, where the warm sun will have Florence – cradle of the Renaissance – blossom before you. (B)

  • Two hours of daily yoga practice

June 17 - Day 4 – Florence
Follow the fairy-tale like history of Florence, from the Medici to Michelangelo.

  • A guided city-walk through the Piazza Santa Croce and its Basilica, the famous Signoria Square, the fantastic Duomo and Giotto’s Gothic Bell Tower, the Baptistery’s ornate “Gate of Paradise” bronze door, the beloved “Ponte Vecchio” stone bridge, and the Palazzo Vecchio, within which you’ll find artistic masterpieces and the incredible Loggia Dei Lanzi courtyard

  • Two hours of daily yoga practice

June 18 - Day 5 – Assisi
Follow Florence's rolling countryside down to the sacred, medieval village of Assisi for a truly legendary feast - birthplace of St. Francis and even the Sun itself... according to Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy (B,D)

  • Stroll through time on cobblestones and quaint little streets

  • A fun, authentic dinner with local Umbrian specialties

  • Two hours of daily yoga practice

June 19 - Day 6 – Assisi  
Perched on the hillside, marvel at the peaceful picture of Assisi. Humbly walk through the arched gates, part of the city wall, still faithfully guarding the city (B,D)

  • Guided sightseeing tour of St. Claire’s Church , the Basilica of St. Francis and the Monastery of San Damiano dating back to the 12th century

  • Dinner in the city of Assisi

  • Two hours of daily yoga practice

June 20 - Day 7 - Gaeta
Gaeta is a long-time favorite coastal getaway for Popes, Kings, and tourists from all over the world - dating as far back as Homer's Odyssey. Rich in history, architecture and religion, this seaport village rests gracefully beside the Tyrrhenian Sea. Its name comes from the Latin word Caieta, who was the wet-nurse of Aeneas - the mythical savior of Troy and Rome. (B)

  • Guided tour of Gaeta's Medieval Quarter, deeply rooted in history and art, with ancient homes dating back to the 11th-13th centuries

  • Two hours of daily yoga practice

June 21 - Day 8 - Gaeta
Tour through the seaside Riviera of Ulysses as we embark on a private boat and pass through the same magical winds that inspired countless poets - including Homer and Virgil. (B,L,D)

  • Catered lunch on a typical Italian “gozzo” boat

June 22 - Day 9 – Gaeta & Rome
